Overview
The Gardens of Marqueyssac : the greatest views of the Périgord … It is the most visited garden of the Périgord. A listed site, the romantic and picturesque gardens of Marqueyssac offer more than six kilometers of shaded paths bordered by 150000 hand-pruned box trees a hundred years old, the whole embellished with belvederes, waterways, rockeries and grassy clearings. The Belvedere, at 130 meters above the river, gives an exceptional view of the Dordogne valley with its castles and some of the most beautiful villages of France. Playgrounds, swings and huts. Workshop of the woodworker during the season. Dioramas on Perigord’s wildlife. Gift shop and bookstore. Tearoom and restaurant with a panoramic terrace from April to November. OPEN EVERYDAY, ALL THE YEAR LONG.

National Gardens Day: Sunday 3rd June. Gardens by candlelight Saturday evening 2nd June
Marqueyssac by Candlelight: First Saturday in June and every Thursday evening July and August.
Creative Workshops: “Curious by Nature” for children Autumn and Easter holidays, all bank holiday
weekends in May, every day in July and August
Via Ferrata (17th April to Autumn holidays – consult us for times and days ) Acrobatic trail, 130m
along the Marqueyssac cliffs.
Initiation in climbing: children above 6 yrs every morning in July and August, except Saturdays.
