Overview
The Château de Hautefort was originally an ancient medieval fortress which was transformed into a fine residence in the 17th C.
It is a rare example of classic Perigord architecture. The chateau houses a collection of furniture and works of art from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The classical French gardens are classified as a “Monument Historique”. There is also an “English” garden.

Evening visits every wednesday of july and august
-There are workshops for children on the theme of the chateau every Wednesday during July and August.
-There are special activities for young children on Easter Monday
-Open air cinema during July and August (consult the official chateau website for the programme)
